Echinomastus durangensis (Cactus)

Extremely rare and showy cactus, consisting of a globular body that tends to slightly elongate with growth, of a beautiful light green furrowed by narrow and long asymmetrical tubercles. From large rounded areoles, thin and dense radial spines emerge, of a delicate light yellow, which are arranged in a radial pattern and tend to become much longer at the apex of the stem, where they turn upwards, generating a sort of characteristic tuft. The central spines are instead more robust, long and dark, almost black on the tips, and have the peculiarity of turning downwards by curving, thus creating a spectacular scenographic effect due to the contrast of direction between them and the apical ones. Overall, Echinomastus duragensis possesses an unrivaled wild charm!
