Copiapoa schulziana (Cactus)

It is a solitary cactacea of a slightly cylindrical shape, which can grow up to 50 cm in height and 25 cm in diameter. Its dull green stem tending to greyish produces dense, well-defined and slightly tuberculated ribs, along which there are small downy yellowish areoles. The spines are very long and robust, of a dark brown color, almost blackish, which tends to gray with age. During the flowering period, it blooms with funnel-shaped flowers of a glossy yellow color.
