Copiapoa maritima (Cactus)

This cactacea was first found by the collector Karel Kníže near Paposo (Chile). It is a cactacea with a globular habit, which over time may cluster at the base. The epidermis can vary from a light green to a blackish-purple color, it has multiple strongly tuberculated ribs, on which round areoles emerge. It is equipped with rigid straight yellow-black spines. Its funnel-shaped inflorescences are of a yellow color.
