Copiapoa lembeckei (Cactus)

A small cactacea of a cylindrical shape, generally solitary, which over time tends to cluster at the base. It has a greyish green stem with multiple well-defined ribs on which, from downy areoles, large straight and robust brown-colored spines sprout. With age the stem tends to become of a gray color. In spring it blooms with large, funnel-shaped yellow flowers.
