Copiapoa fiedleriana f. variegated (Cactus)

The variegated shape of this cactus presents the typical lighter areas in the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent: these characteristics will never be the same from one plant to another, therefore each exemplar will be absolutely unique and, for this reason, highly sought after by collectors. In its normal form C. Fiedleriana is a rare cactus plant, with an olive-green stem that takes on a gray color with time. It has a globose shape with a solitary posture that, growing, can turn on the base. It has a depression at the apex and ribs strongly defined by many rounded tubercles. From the fluffy white areolas come out long and rigid grey-blackish thorns. During the flowering period we can admire its beautiful bright yellow flowers.
