Chamaecereus silvestrii (Cactus)

It is a low-growing bushy cactacea. It produces numerous stems of variable lengths, of a pale green color. On the ribs (7-10 for each branch) downy whitish areoles are formed, from which tiny grayish-white spines emerge (hence the name of the species). When exposed to the direct sun, Chamaecereus silvestrii tends to take on reddish hues. During the flowering period, it blooms with large funnel-shaped flowers of a red-orange color. This plant does not require a lot of attention or special care, so it is also perfect for beginners.
