Cephalocereus (Cactus)

The Cephalocereus genus consists of slow-growing columnar cactus species. It produces bluish-green or bluish-gray stems, which with growth can branch off at the base. The peculiarity of this genus is the dense whitish down that covers the whole body of the plant - a characteristic for which it is often called "old man's head", due to the long thin bristles that resemble white unkempt hair. In summer, Cephalocereus produces nocturnal funnel-shaped flowers of a pink-yellowish color, which bloom only for one night, but give an exceptional view. Due to its extremely particular appearance, Cephalocereus is able to immediately attract attention: it is a perfect plant to give a touch of extravagance to your gardens.
