Description:

It is a truly peculiar succulent plant, which tends to grow rather slowly but, being extremely long-lived, it can also become a plant of 8-10 meters in height, a real colossus with a spectacular appearance! With growth Y. filifera develops a massive and compact stem, from which a majestic rosette consisting of ribbon-like leaves is shown, even half a meter long and extremely thin, ending in a strongly sharp tip. Each leaf of beautiful intense green grows in a cascade, surrounded along the margins by whitish filaments that curl and take on an irregular pattern (hence the name of the species). c

Plant care:

Requires exposure to full sun, needs a lot of light during all seasons. If placed in low-light environments, the Yucca can easily survive for long periods, if it is re-exposed to sunlight as soon as possible, for example, when placed outside in spring.

It prefers high temperatures, above 20 °C; in winter it must be sheltered, as it requires temperatures at least 10 °C and higher.

Water regularly every other day in hot weather, keeping the soil only slightly moist, and mist the foliage. In winter, reduce watering and never allow water to stagnate.

A more fertile substrate is required rather than the standard one as for other succulents. For example, a peaty soil mixed with well-drained garden soil is a good solution.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
