The reasons that lead a lot of green collectors to love and seek after this plant are many and extremely various: on one hand it does not require much care, on the other hand its appearance similar to a tree makes any interior unique, even the most peculiar ones. Here are some easy tips for its proper care and cultivation: It requires a lot of light and likes direct sun rays. It requires an exposure to full sun or partial shade, when it still receives a lot of light during all seasons. It resists well to intense heat, though, on the other hand, it is necessary to prottect it from cold and humidity when temperatures drop below 15 °C. Water abundantly in summer, whenever the soil is dry. In winter, it is advisable to suspend watering, as long as its caudex acts as a water reserve which is sufficient for the survival of the plant. A well-draining substrate, for example the standard one for succulents, is an optimal solution. They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
