Art. 42875
Its name comes from the Greek "trichos"- hair, and "diadema"- crown due to the "crown of hairy, white bristles" that the leaves of these plants have. T. Densum is often called 'Miniature Desert Rose' because of its bonsai-like habit. It is a succulent plant, although its tiny spines may suggest it is a cactus, very compact and low growing, groundcover. Its strongly branched stems become woody over time. From autumn to spring you can admire its abundant flowering, its magenta-purple flowers open only in the morning and close in the afternoon.
