Trichocereus validus

Columnar cactus, consisting of a stem that in nature can reach even 40 cm in diameter. Of a nice emerald green rather opaque, this cactus is equipped with deep longitudinal ribs, which with the growth tend to increase in number and to approach; along the latter are present white and roundish areolas, symmetrically spaced, from which white central spines emerge and radiate around the areola, and central needle-like and robust thorns, yellow-greyish and even 10 cm long! Overall the appearance of this plant is extremely majestic and solemn, made even more elegant by the blooming of its gigantic white night flowers!
