Trichocereus pasacana

Called 'Pasacana Tree Cactus' because in the wild it grows up to 10 m. tall resembling a tree.  In the Salar de Uyuni salt desert in Bolivia, the spreading branches of T.Pasacana create a breathtaking spectacle.  Its columnar stem, initially solitary, only after about 100 years of life begins to branch. Its dense spines are needle-like and range in color from yellow to brown. In late spring its magnificent, very large, white flowers bloom. It is an ornamental succulent plant suitable for decorating your indoor and outdoor environments as it withstands cold temperatures.
