Trichocaulon flavum

The name of the genus Trichocaulon comes from the Greek 'trichos' - 'hair' and 'kaulos' - 'stem', while the name Flavum comes from the Latin 'flavus' and means 'yellow'. This is a rare succulent plant with a cylindrical green stem, covered with numerous tubercles, at the end of which there are hard bristles similar to spines. In winter its small yellow-green flowers bloom, arranged in a crown on the upper part of the plant.
