It has flat, elliptical, pointed leaves, dark green on the upper surface, and purple on the lower surface, covered with a kind of white-greyish powder, which gives the plant a glittery appearance. Plant care:
It likes very bright spaces, which guarantees the optimal variegation of the leaves, but it is preferable to avoid direct sunlight.
It resists well even at very high temperatures; at the same time, it does not like temperatures below 10 °C.
In summer it needs the soil to be always moistured (for example, by spraying the leaves), while in winter it is preferable to let the substrate dry well.
A substrate for cactacea, combined with sand is an optimal solution, as it facilitates drainage.
They do not need frequent fertilizations, it is enough to dilute fertilizer with watering once a year.
