Thelocephala napina

This small spherical cactus that was originally born in the arid mountains of Chile, grows alone and can reach up to 6 cm in height. Its tubercles are pronounced and a dozen small dark thorns can be clearly seen in the aureoles. The stem has a color that changes darkening with exposure to the sun and goes from gray green to purple. Flowering occurs in spring and the flowers that last 3 to 5 days are white or light pink.
