Its cylindrical-shaped stem, of a greyish green color flecked with brown, can grow for enormous lengths, for this reason it is difficult to call it a stem. Its flowers are beautiful and unique, they have a diamond-shaped corolla with 5 greenish petals that are enclosed in a kind of small cage.
