Thelocactus saussieri

Beautiful globose cactus with an olive green stem and very protruding tubercles. From the white and woolly areolas come out the radial and central spines: the radials are needle-like, whitish and numerous; the central ones, on the contrary, are longer than the radials, more robust, few in number, and of brown or reddish colour. Its magnificent flowers grow at the apex of the plant and have colors varying from pink to orange and yellow with yellow pistils.
