Thelocactus garciae

This is a generally globose succulent plant that can cluster at the base. Its green stem takes on a reddish hue with prolonged exposure to sun or cool autumn weather. T. Garciae has prominent tubercles from which arise thin spines with a color ranging from white to brown. In spring its beautiful light pink flowers bloom with a darker central stripe. This plant is easy to grow and is also suitable for beginners.
