Description:

Pretty cactaceae consisting of a globose body, slightly depressed at the apex, which does not exceed 2-3 cm in height but tends rather with the growth to tuft abundantly giving rise to a pleasant pillow that can expand up to even a hundred heads! Each small stem is of a tenuous olive green, equipped with roundish and little protruding tubercles on which stand out slender pale areolas; from the latter emerge only very short radial spines and combed along the stem, which gives the cactus an extremely neat and symmetrical appearance. At the base of the cactus bloom in late spring wonderful daisies flowers, often larger than the stems themselves, which will sprinkle your locations with bright notes of a bright red made even more vivid by the extremely shiny texture of the petals!

Plant care:

It requires an exposure to full sun, however in the hottest hours it is advisable to place it in shade.

It requires mild temperatures, it is advisable to shelter it when winter temperatures drop below 0°C.

In hot periods it is advisable to water moderately, on a weekly basis, in winter it is necessary to completely suspend watering, as long as the plant is very sensitive to rotting.

A well-draining and mineral-rich soil is an optimal solution. It's even better to add one layer of sand at the bottom of the pot, as it helps to avoid rotting.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
