Sulcorebutia heinzii f. variegata

The variegated shape of this cactus has yellowish shades of color in the exact points of the epidermis where there is a lack of chlorophyll; such spots or shades are never identical in plants, making each one unique and for this reason very appreciated by collectors around the world. In its normal form S. heinzii is a very loved plant, characterized by white and narrow areoles in strong contrast with the dark color of the body, tending to an almost black green. It has rhomboidal ribs, inside each of which, from the areoles, emerge tiny dark and combed spines. The flowering period is spring and its beautiful magenta flowers that look almost silky, bloom at the base of the plant. This flowering lasts 5 days.
