Description:

Beloved globose and slightly depressed cactus at the apex, characterized by a bright green color and equipped with multiple well-defined ribs. The variegated shape of this cactus presents the typical lighter areas in the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent: these characteristics will never be the same from one plant to another, therefore each exemplar will be absolutely unique and, for this reason, highly sought after by collectors. It has white spines at the base, which gradually become yellow-brown towards the apex. In the warmer periods the apex of the cactus is crowned by a corolla of small white or pinkish flowers. This specimen is absolutely among the most loved of the genus for its pleasant chromatic contrast, but above all for the geometrically perfect aspect that is generated thanks to the shape of the body and the arrangement of its thorns.

Plant care:

It requires an exposure to full sun, however in the hottest hours it is advisable to place it in shade.

It requires mild temperatures, it is advisable to shelter it when winter temperatures drop below 0°C.

In hot periods it is advisable to water moderately, on a weekly basis, in winter it is necessary to completely suspend watering, as long as the plant is very sensitive to rotting.

A well-draining and mineral-rich soil is an optimal solution. It's even better to add one layer of sand at the bottom of the pot, as it helps to avoid rotting.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
