Stenocereus gummosus

This cactacea is very fascinating and particular, its long, silvery strong thorns which arise from the well spaced areoles makes it beautifully vigorous. At the apex these become shorter and smaller. The stem is tinted in a wonderful deep green and defined by marked ribs. It has a columnar shape, even though in nature it can be found as a big evergreen shrub. S.
