Description:
It is a beautiful columnar cactus with a shrubby habit, which in nature reaches up to two meters in height, maintaining an extremely small diameter, less than 10 centimeters! The stems have a bluish-green color, waxy and light-colored due to the whitish pruina that covers the plant to protect it from atmospheric agents. From small and slightly black felted areoles, sparse dark-colored spines emerge. This plant usually blooms in winter and only at night: its flowers last about one day, but they are so big and beautiful with their delicate colors, that they certainly don't go unnoticed!

Plant care:
It requires a lot of light and likes direct sun rays.
It likes hot and dry climates such as the desert ones from which it comes, however it resists well for long periods the temperatures above 8 °C (for short periods it can withstand even lower temperatures). It is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water once or twice a week in hot weather; it is preferable to completely suspend watering during the winter period.
It is better to use a substrate suitable for cacti, which is well draining, in order to prevent rotting of the roots.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
