Stapelia tsomoensis

Beautiful succulent consists of slender stems, which do not exceed ten centimeters in height and sometimes tend to prostrate themselves towards the ground with growth. Equipped with a square but rather asymmetrical section, each stem has a sort of soft whitish teeth along the edges, due to the fall of the microscopic leaves, which pleasantly contrasts with the purple-tinged green of the epidermis. The real strong point of this succulent is undoubtedly its very particular flower: from the typical shape of the Asclepiadaceae of five-pointed star, it sometimes has softer and more rounded edges; the entire surface is adorned with a long and showy reddish fluff that creates a pleasant shade with the lighter, almost creamy color of the surface, for an absolutely original and almost velvety overall effect, impossible to miss!
