Stapelia obducta

One of the most beautiful plants of its kind, it has more or less hairy stems of a bright green color, streaked with red and pleasantly velvety to the touch. Its dark red, star-shaped flowers are peculiar and beautiful, can reach considerable width (up to 15 cm in diameter), and are covered with a thick down.
