Description:
A perennial succulent with a very short stem. Its long cylindrical leaves have sharp green tips covered with thick silver-white hair. S. Scaposus reaches up to 30 cm in height. It blooms in summer and its yellow flowers look a lot like a daisy.

Almost all species of this genus need very scarce watering all year round, when it is evident that the plant needs it.
The soil varies greatly from species to species, however in general a well draining substrate is required.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
