Description:
It is a beautiful houseplant, rather undemanding and very ornamental, consisting of a bulb, exposed completely above the ground. This bulb has a shiny surface, though it is covered with paper sheaths, that allow it to retain a greater amount of water. Two fleshy and lanceolate leaves branch off from it; they are rather long, characterized by light specks, that sprinkle the green of the epidermis and make the succulent very special and highly appreciated.

Plant care:
Likes exposure to full sun.
It likes the Mediterranean climate of the areas where it comes from, therefore it requires mild temperatures and must be sheltered when they drop below 5 °C.
It is advisable to always keep the soil moist enough, never dry, to prevent the bulb from drying out. Beware of stagnant water that could cause rotting.
The best option is a sandy, very draining soil.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
