Rhipsalis monacantha

Wonderful and unusual cactaceae, whose name comes from Latin and literally means "with a plug", in reference to the single plug that has each areola. It is a shrub with a very slow growth, with initially erect stems and with a triangular section, which later will become flat and drooping, up to more than 40 cm of length. It is made up of numerous consecutive segments with serrated edges, which sometimes join and branch to create a beautiful waterfall of an intense light green, perfect to adorn shelves or hanging vases. The charm of this succulent is further accentuated when, especially from the apical areoles placed on the sides of the stem, many small flowers of a bright orange blossom a with cream color center, extremely lively and ornamental.
