Psammophora longifolia

P. longifolia is a succulent exemplar that grows in the arid desert areas of South Africa, a dwarf plant that expands horizontally. Its leaves are very fleshy, have a lanceolate shape and dark green colour almost greyish; the new ones, on the contrary, have reddish tones on the tips. The surface of the leaves is covered with a very sticky substance, this helps P. longiflora to survive in the desert. The sand remains attached to the plant and thus protects it from the sun’s rays. The flowering period is winter and its delicate white, pink or purple flowers give a touch of elegance to all of our locations.
