Magnificent exemplar of a columnar cactus P. nobilis has a stem similar, as shape, to that of the other Cereus, ramified, subdivided in vertical ribs along which the areoles grow. From the latter come out the thin yellow thorns that with the passage of time tend to become darker. The flowers bloom all over the year, they are funnel-shaped, big and of pink or purple red colour.

Plant care:
It likes an exposure to full sun in rather airy locations.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 10 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water regularly on a weekly basis in spring-summer, always making sure that the soil is always dry between one watering and another one, avoiding stagnation of water. During the winter period, suspend watering.
A soil suitable for cacti is an optimal solution, even better if further mixed with pumice.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
