Description:
It is a cactus, that grows into a semi-erect columnar shape. It can also be branched. Its branches normally, starting from the base and creating serrated stems of a beautiful blue-green color. It has golden-yellow spines on hairy areoles. Pilosocereus glaucochrous, during the summer period, blooms with large red-pink flowers, that open up during the day and close down at night.

Plant care:
It likes an exposure to full sun in rather airy locations.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 10 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water regularly on a weekly basis in spring-summer, always making sure that the soil is always dry between one watering and another one, avoiding stagnation of water. During the winter period, suspend watering.
A soil suitable for cacti is an optimal solution, even better if further mixed with pumice.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
