It is a tropical succulent, which does not exceed 50-60 cm in height and 30 cm in diameter. It develops with long stems, equipped with numerous petioles, on which round and shiny dark green leaves of about 10-15 cm in diameter grow. Due to its visual appearance, Pilea peperomioides is often called the "Chinese Coin Plant" and is believed to be a plant that brings luck and money. This Pilea is much loved and highly appreciated for its extremely easy cultivation, therefore it is also ideal for beginners.

It prefers mild temperatures, about 15 °C, but it is always necessary to shelter it in winter, as it does not resist frosts.
It needs water only when the soil is completely dry.
It does not require a particular substrate, as it does not need either too drastic drainage or a particular richness in minerals.
They do not need frequent fertilizations, it is enough to dilute fertilizer with watering once a year.
