Phyllanthus mirabilis

It is a small-sized, slow growing shrub. In the period of its youth, the base of the trunk assumes a caudiciform shape, which, as it grows, changes becoming a tree. The peculiarity of this plant is that the leaves fold up in pairs, like butterfly wings, in the evening and reopen in the morning. They take on a color, which ranges from shiny green to dark red.
