Pelargonium purverulentum

This succulent has a woody and asymmetrical caudex, with a contorted shape and small size, which however contributes to make each plant unique and very appreciated by collectors. During the vegetative period come out from the tuber thin stems that do not exceed a height of 15 cm. They are enriched by leaves with a rather variable shape, but always covered by a whitish patina that gives the epidermis a glaucous colouration (the name of the species means just "powdery white"). Another extremely ornamental peculiarity is undoubtedly the inflorescence, formed by graceful flowers with 5 petals, three lower and two upper ones folded on themselves, which get yellowish hues and pleasantly speckled by spots, dots or even whole areas of bordeaux color!
