Pelargonium cortusifolium

Lovable succulent with a shrubby habit, which grows till a maximum of 50 cm of height, with woody slender stems abundantly branched. It is constituted of a marvelous caudex that is able to take on the most extravagant and massive shapes. From the caudex branch off the rigid stems which support peculiar deciduous leaves, palmate or even heart-shaped with jagged edges. The foliar epidermis, of an intense emerald green often surrounded by reddish-brown shades, is furrowed with showy veins and covered with a dense, short whitish down, which makes the plant look almost silvery under the sunlight. During the flowering season, P. Cortusifolium will amaze you with elegant flowers with five whitish petals, lightly shaded with pink and sometimes enriched with purplish dots internal to the petals.
