Pediocactus simpsonii

A spherical cactus of a bright green color, with large white and hairy areoles, covered with thin white spines, which are alternated with longer spines of variable colors. It is a plant, highly sought after by green collectors, both for its rarity and for its particular spines. The appearance of the cactus, both in terms of colors and shapes, as well as the colors of the daisy-like flowers it produces in spring, may vary greatly, depending on the environment, in which it grows.
