Description:
With the blue-green cylindrical stem and entirely covered with intertwined thorns, this small solitary cactus will surprise you in spring or early summer with its beautiful yellow flowers up to 6 cm in size. They will open gently with the first lights of the morning as if to wish you good morning and then close at sunset .
The name “tabularis” comes from latin and means "flattened, like a plate", referring to the flattened globular body shape.

Plant care:
It likes very bright positions, however avoid direct sunlight during the hottest hours of the day.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 8 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water moderately, only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer, once a month in autumn and to suspend watering completely in winter.
A soil suitable for cacti is an optimal solution, even better if further mixed with pumice or lapilli.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
