It is a slow growing caudiciform succulent. Its name means "thick-foot, short-stem". It is one of the smallest and most resistant plants of this genus. It can reach up to 40 cm in height and up to 1 m in width. In its caudex it stores water to survive during periods of drought. Its green leaves form small rosettes. In summer you can admire its beautiful yellow flowers. In the period of vegetative rest, it loses its leaves. Any Pachypodium collector should have this spectacular plant.
