Pachypodium bispinosum

It is a very slow growing, caudiciform, shrub-shaped succulent. It can reach a height of 1.2 meters, producing branches full of double straight spines, taking from this feature its name. In its caudex it stores water to survive during periods of drought. It has small, green, slightly curved, leaves. This beautiful Pachypodium is an indoor bonsai. Gorgeous flowers, that vary in color from light pink to purple, bloom from June to December. In the dormant period, from January to May, it loses its leaves.
