Orbea hardyi

The name was chosen in honor of the horticulturist D.S. Hardy. It is a beautiful African succulent, characterized by fleshy stems with 4 generally not very pronounced angles, equipped with soft teeth at regular intervals along the ribs. It does not exceed 30 cm in height, but it often tends to branch out near the base; The abundance of reddish streaks that appear along the glaucous green epidermis when it is properly exposed to sunlight is immediately striking. The real highlight of Orbea hardyi is undoubtedly its showy flower: consisting of 5-pointed external corolla, it has cream-colored shades with reddish-brown streaks or spots, pleasantly adorned by the central red ring typical of this species.
