Description:
Also known as Stapelia dummeri, it is a perennial succulent plant that, over time, grows more stems from the basal part of the main stem, forming a shrub. It has dense stems with an erect habit, with numerous protuberances pointed with purplish red streaks. You can admire the amazing flowering, during summer. Its flowers are very particular, due to its shape, resembling a star and their bright color (which varies from yellow to lime green), making them unique. Its petals are covered with a long, soft white down.

Plant care:
It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight. In autumn they need much more light and heat so they will bloom abundantly.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 10 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water moderately and only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water it once a week in spring and summer, reduce it to once every two months in autumn and to suspend it completely in winter.
The best soil is a well-draining one, even better if further enriched with inert materials such as pumice, sand or lapilli.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
