Notocactus leninghausii f. variegated

In its variegated form, this cactus exemplar has yellowish hues at the points of the epidermis where there is a lack of chlorophyll; such spots will never be identical in two different plants making each of them unique in its kind. In the normal form N. leninghausii is very appreciated for its thick and beautiful "crown". It has regular and dense ribs with areolas covered with multiple soft and golden spines, all well aligned vertically. The flowering takes place in late spring producing, at the apex of the plant, large and beautiful golden yellow flowers.
