Notocactus horstii f. muglianus

N.horstii is a medium-sized cactaceae exemplar generally solitary. It has a globose stem and slightly flattened at the apex that can reach 15 in diameter. The stem is of an intense green color and has several well marked ribs; above which are the fluffy white areolas. From the latter come out its central and radial spines: the central ones are usually few (3-4), long, robust and of brown color or however brownish. The radials instead are thinner and shorter, yellow and slightly curved towards the stem. During the flowering period, in spring, this wonderful cactus gives flowers of pink, yellow or orange flowers that bloom at the apex of the plant.
