Neoporteria woutersiana f. prolifera

Peculiar cactaceae characterized by a globose stem, sometimes slightly columnar with the growth, of a beautiful greyish-green that takes on original very dark purple hues when abundantly exposed to sunlight. The cactus is equipped with rather narrow and deeply tuberculate ribs, with whitish and elongated areolas from which emerge short radial spines flattened towards the stem and long tortuous central spines, very thin and blackish, which face upwards. N. woutersiana often tends to turn on along the entire stem, giving rise to a sort of extremely original thorny bouquet, which will certainly not go unnoticed especially when it will be adorned with delicate pink flowers with dark streaks!
