Also known as Eriosyce crispa. It is a cylindrical cactus, depressed at the apex, of a brownish green color. It has tubercles along its ribs, from which downy areoles with dark-colored spines protrude: the radial spines, usually 6-14 in number, are thin and slightly curved, while the central ones (1-5), are a little thicker. During the flowering period, it produces flowers of a color, that can vary from reddish to pink, up to white, with a very evident central strip.
