Description:
Its name derives from ancient Latin and literally means "that grows on walls". It is a dwarf shrub, consisting of stems completely covered with small rosettes of oval leaves, which do not exceed one centimeter and take on a beautiful green color with red-purple spots when exposed to the sun. In the flowering season, this dense green carpet is enlivened by small, extremely peculiar white flowers, similar to a multi-pointed star but which overall take on a spherical shape.

It loves high temperatures and above all never lower than about 10 ° C, for this reason it is recommended to place it in sheltered and bright places during the winter.
Water moderately, only when the soil is completely dry, in spring and summer. In colder periods it is advisable to completely suspend the water supply.
A well-draining substrate is optimal, consisting of specific soil for cacti to which pumice or sand can be added to make it even more porous.
It does not require frequent fertilization, it will be sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with water for irrigation once a year.
