Description:

This species is formed by a small woody and particularly branched shrub, it does not reach great heights, in fact they measure 10 or 20 cm at most. There are many shoots but they are destined to fall slowly. The leaves, of a beautiful bright green color, have a very particular shape, their round and well rounded shape easily recalls a drop, moreover, they can vary in color and tend more to white if placed in the sun. The various branches are generally brown and grow non-linearly, that is, they become longer and longer, taking on shape and direction depending on the pot and the space they have available. The flowers are born on the stems and their small petals are elongated and pointed, they can vary in color from yellow to orange. This plant prefers a sunny position.

Plant care:

It prefers extremely bright locations, paying attention to the direct sun which could easily burn the plant.

It loves high temperatures and above all never lower than about 10 ° C, for this reason it is recommended to place it in sheltered and bright places during the winter.

Water moderately, only when the soil is completely dry, in spring and summer. In colder periods it is advisable to completely suspend the water supply.

A well-draining substrate is optimal, consisting of specific soil for cacti to which pumice or sand can be added to make it even more porous.

It does not require frequent fertilization, it will be sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with water for irrigation once a year.
