Description:
A perennial succulent plant, that tends to branch off at the base. The long stems are covered with numerous tubercles with a white tip at the apex. What makes this plant very special are the leaves: obovate, lanceolate, dark green with multiple purple veins. During the vegetative rest it loses its leaves and then grows them back during the vegetative period. The light pink flowers bloom at the apex of the stems. M. stapelioides is a plant easy to grow. Synonym: Euphorbia neostapelioides.

Plant care:
It likes very bright places, however, avoid direct sunlight during the hottest hours of the day. It prefers environments with low humidity.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 15 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer and suspend watering completely in winter.
A well-draining soil is an optimal solution, even better if further enriched with 50% or more of inert materials such as pumice, sand or lapilli.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
