A perennial succulent plant with fleshy green stems, covered with numerous tubercles with small sparse thorns at the apex. As it grows, it takes on a branched form. With the prolonged exposure to the direct sun, the green leaves might take on a more purplish color. The small flowers may be of different colors, that vary from light pink to purple; they do not have petals, so can be defined as cyathia. It is a plant easy to grow. Synonym: Euphorbia ritchiei.
