Monadenium capitatum (Iringa province, Tanzania)

It is a caudiciform plant with annual green and fleshy stems and oval leaves. During the vegetative rest, M. capitatum loses both the stems and the leaves, to grow them back during the vegetative period. The flowers are generally green or yellow. Monadenium capitatum is the synonym of Euphorbia capitata.
